Hey

ii\ve just had the worst freaking day ever. I just need to rant, I was suppose to go to NY yesterday to go see my sister and a couple friends in DC. It takes me two hours to get to the airport where i am, i have to take a bus, a train and another bus to get to the airport. I get to london heathrow Terminal 3 coz thats where most inertnational flight leave from. I get there and i find out i need to go to terminal 4. I eventually make it over to terminal 4 and just make the check in. Finally made check in was all happy. NY HERE I COME!!! At the boarding gate, give the stewards my boarding pass and passport and they say 'You cant come on the plane you dont have a US visa'. I've travelled to the US before with the passport i'm holding without a visa, and i find out that they change the laws a lot like every week. I had to turn around go back through immigration where the immigration officer gave me ****, coz he thought i was being cheeky for saying i haven't even gotten on a plane yet. Only to wait an hour and something while they locate my bag again. I then have to travel another 2 and half freaking hours to get home.. ARGH I"M SO ANGRY!!! :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear:

that sucks. i travelled to the US without that stuff a couple of times. how long were you going for?

sucks... they wouldent let me on the planr to jamica...

u should come for mfk trip noe ;)

I feel for you man. I just got here in the middle east and found out that niether of the 2 airways I used know where my luggage is. I'm stuck here with the clothes I packed in my carry-on. To make matters worse I shipped 3 boxes to me before I left so that they would be here waiting for me. When I got here I found out they shipped them back b/c they didn't know who I was.

Well i tried sorting out my visa but it will take at least a month to get an interview for a visa. So looks like i'll be coming at the end of summer NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... i wanna go now!

Oh man that does suck ass. Sorry to hear about that.

Had something similar happen to my friend except his is worse.

My friend is a Korean born in Japan. Japan is quite strict on giving out citizenship to just anyone. They are really picky and even my friend who is born in Japan, lived in Japan all his life, Has a Japanese first name, Speaks no Korean......So pretty much he's Japanese. But Since he is Ethnic Korean they will not give him the citizenship just because he is born there. He has a Korean citizenship, and a Korean name on the passport, a name he doesn't use at all except in the passport. And becuase of this, he is required to have a visa to stay and live in Japan. How messed up is that?? Anyways, one December we were discussing flying back to Asia for Christmas. From Seattle all he had to do was fly to Japan, I had to go to the Philippines but my transfer was in Japan. He left a day earlier than me, but the next day when I flew to Japan to transfer, I saw him at the airport waiting to board a plane. I was like WTF U DOING HERE? He said that he didn't know his Visa expired so he can't go home. The only home he has ever known. So the Japanese government wont allow him entry and forced him to fly to Korea to get a Visa to enter Japan in able to return home. He has no idea what to do, where to go and he did not know how to read or speak Korean nor did he have any relatives there. So in short, he missed Christmas with his family and spent it all by himself in Korea while in a living hell trying to get a Visa just to get home. Eventually he got a visa and was able to enter Japan but being the X-mas break is usually short College students he was only able to stay in Japan for a couple of days before he had to fly back to Seattle. :(
