Worth eventually upgrading?

I currently have a 6x2x2 180 gallon tank stocked with mainly SA and CA cichlids(still juveniles) would it wlbe worth eventually upgrading to a larger tank that's still 6 ft (can't go bigger than 6 ft) like a glasscages 6x2.5x2.5 or 6x3x2? Or is going bigger than 180 for a 6 ft tank not much of a benefit?

I'd definitely say it would be worth it. Think of how much more square footage the footprint of those tanks would be.

It really comes down to what you want to stock.

I vote for the 72 x 36 x 24 with 24 being the height and 36 being the width. I would love to have a tank with those dimensions.

If you're going to have a 4ft dimension it should be width over height. Most fish don't use height as much as they do width.

Yea I know but I couldn't find anything with 4 foot width that was 6 ft long.

Personally, I think a 4 foot height would be a pain to maintain, aquascape, etc. I would stick with a 2 or 2.5ft height and opt for more length and width.
