Well, I'd stay with the gatf. But it's your fish, its your choice.

mmmmm...i have 3 gatf so i would be trading on gatf for the vatf. still leaving me 2 gatf and then a vatf. i want a vatf, but i don't know if losing a gatf witch for me is harder to find for a vatf that i find cheaper then gatfs when i do find gatf
Everyone has their nitch. Personally... I would trade 2 GATFs for 1 VATF. Thats how much I believe the differences are between them. There are different factors in fish that I like and Vittatus completes my package.

So... for me, I answer this question with a bias opinion. Had a 14" Goliath and a 16" VATF... Vittatus for the Win

One thing is I might have had a timid Goliath. The rest of the young Ive owned had traits that were to similar. I like them cause its an ATF, just favor one over the other

damn it, then your kinda like me...lol. my a.d.d. says to get some color in there. my heart wants to keep them all. my logic says to get the larger vatf so i can put them together my smaller one is in a separate grow out and my 2 that 6" or better are a bit nippy with no feeders. i know they do this, but i think a third will spread out the aggression.
