Worth It?

Alright so I have the chance to buy a 150 gallon tank with stand for $300. It comes with 2 Canister filters both rates to run 200 gallons. Sand, rock, and wood. There are no heaters or lights. I hate the wood color though cause it looks like someone took a dumb on the tank so I would have to sand and paint the tank. Is it worth it?
Can't post pictures because the person selling said I can't until I buy it (they are in the pics I have of it)

Doesn’t sound too bad to me but I would probably pass personally. It’s just because it’s not really something I would want, not because I think it’s too much.

As far as posting pictures, I don’t think there is anything wrong with posting them up here if you have them. I think it’s a bit ridiculous that the seller is telling you that you can’t post pictures until you buy it. That right there would turn me off from buying it even if it was something I was interested in. I would post pictures in this thread anyway. Worse the seller can do is not sell it to you at that point, and that’s if they’re a member of MFK and can actually see them.

Given all of this, I would definitely pass since the seller told you that you can’t post pictures until you buy it. It’s like they know there is something wrong and don’t want you to post pictures for the fear that someone on the forum will spot the issue(s) and cause you to back out. Long story short, PASS!

She had it running but then she put it in the garage to have space for her other 2 tanks and decided to sell it. I think I am going to go with it. So the black spot should Are me drawing her out of picture. I think I am going to pounce on it.
 
alright i may have lied. she never told i couldn't post pictures i just did not want to cause the stand and canopy are ugly. which is why i am going to paint it. and ii have cousins that saw it setup a few months ago before she put it in garage because she needed space for her other 2 tanks
 
Looks like a good deal. And since seller is your aunt you know it's not a dud or a leaker. I'd go for it man.
PS- wood cabinet and canopy doesn't look bad to me. Sand and paint if you want but I'd personally just leave it.

i like the wood but mom, aunt, and cousin all said its ugly and i live in my moms house so she said it has to be painted.
