If you have seen my other Thread about Enclosure size , you might know i am hoping to get a Lizard for my Birhtday maybe a Bearded Dragon .

I have been looking alot on the internet for a Viv' as i am not sure about using a spare fish tank i might have soon . the biggest Viv' i have found is this one a ( ^See link above^ ) 48 x 21 x 19inch LxHxD for £269.99 .

So do you think is would be ok for 1 adult Bearded Dragon ?

and for what i get , is it worth the money ?

O' and last of all - what's included in the kit , is it all good and what else would i need to get to start setting up the Viv' for a Bearded Dragon ?

I dont think its worth the money. I bought a cage 6x2x4 about 3 years ago for 600 while i could build a cage twice the size for 100-150. You could easily build a wooden cage that size for only 30-60+ depending on what materials you use. Also something that may look nice vs something less eye implying, both can to the same job to make the animal thrive. Personally i say why spend the extra money as in 2-3 hours of your time you can mak bascially the same thing but made of wood. thats my 2 cents

Ok , but if i build one , i would need try fit in the lighting/ heating light inside the Viv' as for where i can only fit the Viv' there wont be any space above it to fit an above outside the Viv' .

Would it be hard to fit the lighting in it and would be safe to have it inside ? ( i think its inside that Viv' on the one in the link i posted up before ) .

and for the front i would perfer a sliding glass/ acrylic door , would it be hard to fit a sliding door in the front ? Or is any other way i could make a sucure door ? ( but it would have to be at the front not on top ) .

Saying all this i have not build anything like it before and if i do build one it would be my first and i dont want to make any silly mistake to harm the Lizard which would go in the Viv' .

Looks ok,but you dont need a heatmat as well as spotlight unless you have a really cold house that drops below 65f at night.Beardies actually need a night-time temp drop like most desert species.Generally though, its not a bad set-up.

ok thanks , still having a look about on the net for a full starter kit for as cheap as i can . That one was the biggest and cheapest i found last night .

so you are saying i dont really need the Heat mat or spot light unless my house gets really cold ?

Ill keep that in mind if i end up getting everything separate .

For where i can only put it and if i do decide to make my own ( just been looking on a few sites and a watched a couple of YouTube Videos about making my own Wooden Viv' ) , the size would be 71x24x21inch LxDxH ,

Good size for one fully grown Adult Bearded Dragon , and would it be ok for life ? :)

and then all i would have to buy is a -

Heat lamp
UVB light
Hide/ Cave
A branch/ something to climb on
food bowl and water bowl
and food

Anything else ?

Ok just what i read on a couple of sites , they say you will need a Heat light and a Heat mat and a UVB light .

Defently building a wooden Viv' !

I can make it bigger than the one i was thinking on buying ( was thinking of buying a 48x21x19inch LxHxD and now i have measured the space i will be building and puttin the Viv' it will be somethng like a 6x2x2Foot LxDxH ) and is alot cheaper to build one myself than to buy :) . I have just been searching alot of online shops for the stuff i would need things like the Heat light , Food bowls , Decor' , Ect . and is not as much as i thought it would of been for me to buy it all seprate .

And Live Food like Crickets are alot cheaper than i thought they would be too :) , on one of the sites is for Small Black Crickets are about £1.45 for a box with about 500 , £1.70 for 15Gram tub worth of Waxworm and about £1.99 for about 60Gram worth of small/ Medium Mealworms .
