wots this?? and how do i fix it

my oscars have some peeling on there sides, dosent look fungal, more like scales falling off i have no idea how,as they dont fight ( well not that i see) as i said it dont look fungal at all, so what can i do about it??

It would be a lot more helpful if you could get a pic. Other than that, it sounds like they scraped themselves on something in the tank or they were fighting. If that's the case, melafix/pimafix and they should be just fine.

have you got rocks etc in the tank?
when mine push each other round they sometimes get scrapes,then it goes similar to scabs like a whitish colour then in a few days as good as new

Looks like you have an itchy fish. At least that is what I call them Cichlids do this sometime to assert dominance in situations that arise between tank mates
