my awsome lfs is selling a 6-7" red tailed barracuda for only $49 it looks like a yellowtail variant and very healthy i am going to purchase it
would a 7-8" red tailed barracuda get along with 7" tats

It should get along, because mine is getting along well with 2 ATF.
and
ATF is more aggressiver than barracuda
I have no idea but i do know that I could never pass up a barracuda red tail or yellow. i had one in the past that got fin rot and died and it was a favorite of mine. so post pics when you get him.
i have no experience w/ the combo, but I'd say there's a better chance they will be okay than not
