In search of Leiarius
Oscars , large catfish(1.5ft-3.5ft in max length) and koi.

Not really my type of fish, but thanks for the tip. If not then all well. If yep than awesome.

As long as you keep in mind that dats are slower growers than catfish and oscars. If you get a baby RTC and a baby dat i'm sure the dat would turn into lunch.

Why is it that only one response was from someone that actually read my fragment of a sentence for a thread starter post?

Thanks for the tip shua71.

also no rtcs for me.

Your new Dat might fight with Oscar (but not killing each other, I hope) if they're same size. But if your new dat is stable, I bet you'll be liking your dat over oscar. I have the same size oscar and dat in my tank, I saw them chasing each others once in a while but my oscar is just for show off only, he's not really that tough but the Dat is. I also have 10 years old huge Koi too but eat too much at anything drop in the tank. So I get rid of it. So I'll say Dat will be good tank. Go for it.

I will once I upgrade tank size. I will have it and other smaller fish in a growout of some type, perhaps a 100gallon stock tank.
