I'd like to get a female festae because their redness seems to look better than that of male festaes. Would a female festae workout with these tankmates of equal size in my 75gal tank?

Two 6" delhezi bichirs
Two 4" indo dats
One 5" senegal bichir
One 4.5" weeksii bichir
One 4" flagtail prochilodus

All those? A few bichirs might be ok since they are bottom dwellers. Not quite sure how it would work out with the dats, never kept them before, so not quite sure how territorial they are and if the festae would see them as a territory threat.

well he said at this size, so I am assuming you are going to upgrade accordingly when necessary? Because festae with anything in a 75 seems to me like certain death. Sorry, but unless you upgrade tanks you probably can't keep them all together forever.

It wont be considered overstocked until all the fish in there would be near adult lengths, but I am also running two xp3's, and another canister or powerfilter should it be necessary, and I do understand that overstocking a tank creates alot more waste.

I was merely wondering if a female festae would be okay in a 75g. Btw, whats the min. requirement to house one female festae?

I don't think a 75 is even big enough for a Festae, probably looking at 100-120Gal minimum.

Aquariumlife minimum tank size states 120Gal for a Festae. You might be able to get away with a definite female in a 75 but certainly not with any tankmates.
