Would a synspilum and a jd breed?

hey everyone i have a male jack dempsey and a female synspilum cichlid together in one of my tanks and i was just curious if they would breed. im not trying to breed them but im just wondering if they could breed.

Never know some fish are more active to breed and other fish are not. I personally think Jack's are more picky of a fish for breeding.

I have a female syn and a male jd and they stay away from each other. Actually the syn will chase my jd sometimes. I doubt it is possible since they are very different sp.

A syn and a jd can hybridize. Whether or not specific individuals choose to will be up to them.
