I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying granite rock to be shipped?
It is very beautiful rock and would go very nicely in a fish tank. I believe I can ship it very cheap using USPS flat rate boxes.
I can get large quantities of it in red, black, silver, and occasionally others. The silver is the easiest to come by, so would be the cheapest. black is the next. The red is difficult and would cost more and so would the other unique colors.
As you can see from the pics, I can get it in various shapes and sizes. Most have at least one side that is polished. This granite is basically the left overs from making head stones.
So would you be interested in buying it from me? I am trying to get an idea if it's worth my trouble to get more to sell. A lot of what I already have will go in my tanks.

Sample pics.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't granite leach minerals into the water? from all the different crystals in it? I'd be a bit hesitant about putting it in my aquarium without finding out what all it'd do...

no I'm pretty sure granite leaches minerals from the quartz, calcite, feldspar, and a bunch of other stuff. I don't think boiling it would get everything out of it.

Granite would be one of the least likely stones to leach materials into the water. All stones will leach to some extent, Granite should about as safe a stone could be. Most people use sand stone which should leach more than granite.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm not trying to sell or promote any product, but simply to try and get an idea if there would be a market for it. That's why right now I just want to ask everyone... Is this a product you might be interested in buying?

Some opinions would be appreciated. I know this place is full of them.
