Would c. sveni look better with black gravel?

I currently have light-coloured gravel in my tank... would my sveni look better (darker) with black gravel?

that should look good with the natural colored gravel as well.....do you have a dark back ground, I personally think black back grounds make fish stand out.

No background, just open to the white wall behind. I am planning to get something dark for the background, maybe dark blue (hello file folders at work! lol).

I think I might try dark gravel too.... I agree with FSM, even if he stands out against the black gravel I think it would be an improvement.
