I have a pair of Jags that are about 4-5" now in a 55 gallon tank. I have a 10" green terror that is full grown in a 4 foot 100 gallon tank.

I want to put the Jags in the 100g and transfer the GT into to 55g.

Do you think it's cruel to put the GT in the 55 after being in a bigger tank?

Yea. lol! But he'd get used to it. I think I know the outcome just by you asking the question. I think you'll try it and feel really really guilty and bad for your GT and put him back in the big tank :-)

A 10" fish in a 13" deep tank is doable but definitely not optimum. When it reaches full adult size it will be cramped.

its 2 1\2 yrs old and 10" i think its pretty much topped out in size. The problem is that I have 7 tanks going right now and i dont have the space for another Big tank. Im fresh outta floorspace.......lol.

Its a bad ass GT too.......But I like my Jags better.

I have pictures of my tanks and fish posted in other threads. Im actually trying to figure out a fair price and find someone who has a 100+ gallon tank to "re-home" the GT.

I'd say a 75 would be a good tank. 100 is better, but a 75 would definitely do.

x2 . . . exactly right . . .

Well I solved my problem. I ran an ad on craigslist to "re-home" the fish with a $50 rehoming fee. Since its against the rules to sell pets on CL.....lol.

A guy with a 180 gallon tank 6' x2' x2' fell in love with the fish and I delivered it for 20 bucks gas money+50 re-homeing fee. His tank is really nice and he has some of the finest looking Black convicts I have ever seen. Although im not a fan of convicts.

A school of convicts in a 180 LMFAO, thats a shameful waste of aquaurium space IMO.

The GT went straight in the tank and took over a rock cave. It wasnt 5 minutes and he was at the glass trying to attack us and ignoring the convicts altogether.

Im glad I didnt have to go thru the guilt of dumping him in a 55. He now lives in a bigger tank with an owner that has exactly the same fish food and everything.
