cheaper to build your own or pay somebody to build it?
i want it pretty big.

Ofcourse to bulid it own, is cheaper and you also get paid back with your own
pleasure, satisfaction and pride, priceless.

Unless you have no clue what you're doing, then it will cost more to redo it or have someone fix your mistakes.
 
It depends on what you charge yourself for labor. Seriously, if you can do some other work that would pay more than the cost to have a professional do it then contract them for the large (ie hard parts like digging or laying block).

If you have more time than money and a will to do it, go for it. Anyone can learn.

yea. that's what i figured. and i would probably be alot happier if i did it my self.

i have a pretty good idea of what i'm doing. i've been reading books about building your own ponds and waterfalls.
