Would prime help tap water being used in a mister?

I haven't done this yet, but assuming I decided to use tap water in the reservoir of a mistkings mister, and clean/replace the nozzles as things got bad, would prime help sort of remove stuff that would gunk up the nozzles? Or would the added prime just gunk them itself?

Or would it make no difference, really? Fwiw, this is city tap water.

As far as stuff that gunks up nozzles goes, no. I don't think so.
