My Fish sense is tingling... definetly problems will arise, miss a feedings and someone is going down the hatch

Even if they were sized correctly, you would need a large tank...in the 500 gallons PLUS range to house them for the majority of their life, but you're going to need even more than that to keep them for their entire life.
Giant Snakeheads get to around 4 1/2 feet if i'm not mistaken... thats a heck of a monster... hell I wouldn't want to reach in that tank to adjust the rocks or something like that... could pull back a nub... Snakeheads are mean and kill just for the sake of killing... not a good community fish IMO

really? i think that some of them are cute, i really want some of the dwarf channa or rainbow snakeheads. northerns look pretty awesome as well.
It's not the look that i dislike... it's the attitude of them, not to mention the killing ability is unreal... like I said they kill just for the sake that they can, not just for food. and they don't do it because something is invading their space but they willl actually seek out fish to kill and then leave the body behind... That to me just is not a fish that is worth having.Danyal;1748994; said:
