Red Belly Piranhas. And the answer would have to be no. It may work temporarily or even for a while. But it all spells death in the end to piranhas tankmates.

I'd say No mate Oscars are a hardy fish and would tollerate them for a while but it wouldn't take long for the piranhas to turn on them !!!

Every fish I have ever kept with piranha have been eaten by them.
On the other hand I do not like oscars so why not, heheh. They would be a bit expensive as feeders though.

One of my friend has a 9-10 inch O with 7-8 inche Ps and they have been keeping
the peace for a few months now. But i keep on telling him to say goodbye to the Oscar is its temporary for sure.

Aye, temporary only. I once put an african fish with 4 RPB (african was larger, had to was an emergency). Overnight he was gone, only a little bit of head left in the bottom of tank.

thanks for the info. but 5 rbp's will last a while right??

The 5 Rbps should be good in a 55g until they get about six inches, You never know with them though I have had little buggers go after each other in uncrowded tanks.
