i have a good sized red devil/midas at about 10inches, would i get away with putting a female in with him (if he is a he?) or would he kill her off like my jag did to the female jag i put with him?

also would you say he is a he?,,, or! ,,, is he a she?

these are the only pics i have but if you need any more tell me what sort of pic you need and ill take 1 and post it (4 the sexing of the fish that is).

It appears to be a male base on body shape and fin estensions. Yes, they would mate. I would divide them however. If the female is smaller you can cut a "bolt hole" in the divider. Generally when they breed they can get pretty feisty.

Yeah most def. A male cause of tht nuchal hump..its not the biggest hump I've seen but its a pretty clear indicatore of him being a male..
