Alright so recently i've been doing some research and i've seen somewhat of a debate and many suggestions about guppies, on what to feed them. This is the study I want to preform, I want to know if certain diets have an effect on the fish's breeding habits growth rates spawn rates etc. Like for example would just feeding the guppies live brine shrimp make them reproduce faster compared to guppies that are fed flakes, would the guppies that are fed the live shrimp produce more young if so would it have an effect on the fry's growth rate....etc...it's an idea i'm sorry if it's kind of scrambled I just want to clarify with my fellow community if its a good idea and if I should go for it. what do you guys think :)

if you guys have any questions just ask i'm not 100% sure if i can do this but I thought it would be something interesting and very fun to do :D

yeah and it's going to require a lot of tanks....i'm thinking only testing between 3-4 different types of foods but if the school can fund it im sure acquiring 10g tanks is going to be no problem lol

Maybe tell your science teacher or biology? Good idea. I would have loved to do something like this when I was in school.

i'm in college and on good terms with the chairman of the environmental science department who happens to be my adviser :D i just don't know if he will totally approve because my school is right by lake ontario so everybody is really focused on the trout and salmon populations but I think it's something worth researching since guppies play a huge role in the pet trade
