would it be okay to keep a giant gourami in a large pond for the summer but in the winter keep it inlike one of those giant plastic bin things to store stuff if I used HOB filters? I saw ones that are kind of transparent

I really want one but Also want it to be happy if I do end up getting one

if the plastic tub is big enough it wouldn't be cruel

the thing is those tubs flex when filled so you would need to find a way to keep the sides straight to get the HOB to fit on

You'll have to find a way to cycle the tub every winter.

I'll probably have to a canister filter then.

that woud work alot better you could use a power filter but like i said it may take a little DIY work

also you would have to keep it cycled mabye keep it up and running all summer or something

do you think a shallow 150 g pond would be to small because it has ALOT more surface area (compared to an aquarium) for it to swim around but not so much depth

if it is an out door pond I wouldnt, as the fish might get damaged from the sun. So I would go with something a little deeper and get some floating plants...

I think it will be okay because it's in a slightly shaded area, and giant gouramis will probably eat every kind of plants except anubias

what are the dimensions of the pond i'd make sure its atleast 18'' deep i would make sure that the pond does have some shade
