Currently i have a 40 gallon long tank with a 2.5" male convict 4" female firemouth 7" common pleco and a 3.5" lutino oscar, which i understand will be much to small for these fish in a few months, but i would like to add a veiltail oscar. To reason, what size aquarium would these fish need I was thinking maybe a 90 gallon but wasnt sure if that would be too small for these guys. Id appreciate anyones comments im only a 19 year old college student who has been taking care of large cichlids for almost 7 years so please skip the basic mumbo jumbo please. lol

Another question I had was what would another good filter be when i decided to upgrade tanks i have an aquaclear 110 and an eheim 2215, i already guessed this wouldnt be sufficient for a 90 gallon without a lot of water changes.

i agree thats a large stock list for a 90gal but to the filtration question i would say a FX5.my 75gal has 1 Oscar with a FX5 and AC110,the water quality is great and takes little to clean the bottom.
