Ok so right now on my 75gal I have a Marineland Singlebright Led system and I do not like the way it looks. My LFS has offered me some in store credit for the single bright and would give me a Deep Blue Professional T5 HO Quad fixture for a good price. Now my main concern is that I have never heard of this company for one and for two would it be way too much light for some SA Cichlids? He does have a ZooMed Dual lamp fixture that would be cheaper but it appears the way it clamps to the tank would not allow the use of glass canopies. Any ideas on what I should do?

Not to much for the fish but would be too much for the tank it self.

Your going to have algea problems with that much light.
I would love to find 2 36" dual T8 fixtures for my 125g SA Cichlid Tank.
I think im going to have to settle for two dual bulb T5NO fixtures instead.

If i were you, i would look into a 48" dual bulb T5NO fixture.

I have the zoomed dual t5ho fixture and don't use the brackets. It works just fine sitting directly on the glass.

I run Deep Blue T5HO fixtures on many of my tanks. I do not have the quad though. The only problems I have heard of is that sometimes with the 48" t5ho fixtures, the acrylic lens does not slide out easily. I have not had this problem though. The quad runs two bulbs on each ballast with dual switches. You only have to run two bulbs.
