would this filter my tank ?

well ive found a 2200 lph and some angel fish tetras and some striped doras catfish and a giant whip tail catfish in a half planted tank. do i need more filteration ?
thanks

1600 l/h may be a bit much for angels in a 4ft tank, i was running a 1000 l/h fluval 4+ and I had heavier bodied cichlids in my 4ft and that was edging to the max i should use. it will probably blow your tetras all over the place.

something like that would be great for current and stuffed with filter floss its great for polishing the water but i wouldnt use one as my only filter unless my main one broke. a canister would be better and also less maintenance. i cleaned my 4+ every week but my canister went at least 6 months between cleanings.

I would go for something bigger. My tank is only 60Gal US and I'm running an Fx5 and 1200 powerhead. Go for as much filtration as you can afford, fish will thank you for it.

Ok , ill get the 2200 lph and a power head or smaller filter im eyeing up a 800lph on ebay at this moment, so that would be 3000 lph im sure that is enough and the fish live in the rivers im sure some current as the will be lots of bogwood and rocks so it will divide the current all over the tank ?
Dave.

(thanks for the replys).
