Would this light setup work on a 55 gallon?

I'm looking to have a moderately planted 55 gallon, with a large livestock list. Kind of a community tank.

Found this light on craiglist for 40 dollars. I wanted to know what you guys think

It's a 48" fixture with a Coralife 10,000k http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+8066+4508&pcatid=4508

and the other bulb is an actinic bulb.

Both bulbs are new.

Is this something you would pick up? Please let me know...im trying to get this tank lit on a budget.

What kinda plants do you have?

It will work at keeping some plants, i would go with T-5 bulbs over T-12. It other words i would get another fixture.
