If I mount this unit above my aquarium, would it work? It's a mechanical, bio, and uv all in one. It's way cheaper than running several canisters.

"Green Machine - For ponds up to 6000 gallons (27000 litres). Very effective above ground filter. This filter uses a combination of solid collecting brushes, high quality foam cartridges and large surface area plastic biomedia to guarantee (with Hozelock Cyprio Vorton UVC) clear, clean water.

Special features of the GREEN MACHINE series are:

Pond water enters through a spray bar producing high levels of oxygen.
Brushes collect larger solids and easier cleaning.
Ideal for the ponds with a many fish population.
Less frequent cleaning and easier to clean
Clear water guarantee when combined with Vorton UVC"

I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

Moved to setup and filtration.

agree it should work fine. But double check what you get in the box. way I read that you dont get the uv with it, rather they are saying if you combine it with a uv... I could be wrong, at the end of the day, not seeing the box or contents irs down to interpretation. worth a check though.
