First link does not work, second link is just an industrial light and as such, are no real use for corals...

But couldnt you just change the bulb in that second one and then have coral lights?

I'll be honest, I dont really know how this all works and I'm trying to get info on the lights and etc. Whenever I ask at the fish store they say the lights cost about $200 but dont really say what they are. So I look up T5 lights and metal halide lights and I find these.

I can only go by what i see here in the UK, however, the ones available here cannot run the correct colour bulbs which corals need. Industrial metal halide lighting is usually a "very" yellow light, which is "usually" even lower than the optimum coral growth range of 6500k...If only it was as easy to just be able to use these lights, lol, the big company's would soon be out of business....lol

Thank you for the help. But I have another quick question for you.

Why do they sell these types of bulbs?

What purpose do these serve? This would fit into a standard FW light.
