Would this stocking list work for a 120 gallon?

yea man i mean i dont see why not besides the convicts and firemouths messin with eachother but theyd do that anyway what are the demensions
lol no way man, firemouths while bieng timid, hold there own when in pairs and when needed.. plus if anything the firemouths get a little bigger than the convicts in my opinion, ive own both and think the firemouths were a mit bolder
I would run a large canister, something that turns over the tank's water volume around 5 times an hour, which for this tank would be around 600GPH, as American cichlids are messy feeders and can put quite a strain on the filtration. I would try and introduce Firemouths that are a bit larger in size than the other inhabitants, as they can be quite slow growing compared to the Oscars and Convicts.
Five smaller fish darting around the bottom of a 4x2 might be a little tight... if you decorate it right it will work out short term... as all 5 of them mature at least the odd FM will get picked on...
I have two AC110s and a Mag 350 canister on my 4x2x2 120 gal... for display tank quality you will want to do something to create current on the floor of the tank. The HOBs just aren't enough. I've used pwerheads, UGJs and canister's returns to do so...
