i work for a lfs and we have a peacock that i have named "stumps" we received him about a year ago and he is missing his tail fin, it looks like a stump. well he the last peacock in that tank and i dont think anyone will take him. nor do i really want anyone to take him as i have become a little attached to him.

my question is, can i keep him in a 20 long?

thanks!

Depending on his size, it might work for a little while.
Long term, no..
Also keep in mind, most Malawi fish are social, they don't feel very comfortable in a tank alone.
I see this at the LFS all the time. They will have a show male Hap or Peacock in a tank by himself, and he's hiding
behind a rock, because there's no other fish out swimming..(He assumes there's danger, because there's no
other fish around)
