I'm planning on setting up my saltwater aquarium and would this be good for stockig?I'm not a expert on saltwater and this is what i would like to have.

30 GaLLon

2 Clownfish
2 Royal Garammas
2 Blennys
A few snails
a few hermit crabs
some corals

Other Q's

1.What should be First corals or fish?

2. A guy at this saltwater fish store has a 50 gallon set up with a powerfilter with these kinds of fish.i

3.What water conditions should i be watching for

4.can any corals and anomoes can go on a 20 watt light?

Everythings fine except for that two royal grammas will fight among each other and some species of blenny will fight among each other to.

So 2 clowns, 1 royal gramma, 1 blenny would work.

I would add the CUC first after a few weeks of cycling.

Ok, as far as the fish go, personally I think that's too many fish. Which kind of blennies were you planning on? Also, make sure the clowns pair up or they might kill each other. I'd probably do the two clowns and a smaller fish.

Shrooms may be ok on a twenty watt light, but I wouldn't get any anemones. Are you using the 50/50 power compact flourescent bulb? I've had lots of luck with mushrooms, polyps, zoas, pulsating xenia and leather corals but I have them under t5HO strips. It would be better if you had more lighting.

i dont now if its a 50/50 light its just a regular hight light.

the blenny im getting is only gonna get 3 inches

Maybe this stock can work?
1 clownfish
1 royal garamma
1 blenny
any more cool fish that can work?
would damsels get to agressive to them?

I'd advise against the regular light. Corals have algae within their bodies which require light to photosynthesize with. If they don't have enough light, the algae die and then the coral does too.

With a 50/50 bulb, this is a nice lighting option for your tank (it's 24 inches, right?). It would let you keep more corals, too.

There are all kinds of cool fish you could keep, it just depends on your tastes. I think your clownfish, gramma, blenny idea may be nice. You could also look into various wrasses (six-lines are pretty and easy to find) and gobies if you want easy, colorful fish. I'd stay away from damsels. They're cheap and cute, but they're mean and they can get kind of big for a 30 gallon tank.

Only get 1 small wrasse, like a fairy or flasher wrasse. your light really is to low. get a power compact light and you options for corals will increase.

six line wrasse?would that be good?

I would like to keep these kinds of fish

six line wrasse
clown fish
royal gramma
blenny
cardnal fish

i know they cant be all house in a 30 but what would be able to go with the wrasse and gramma?
