i might be getting a 55g soon and was wondering if this stock would work:
1 x brown knife
1 x polypterus senegalus
1 x rubberlip pleco
3x pictus pimelodus

in terms of compatibility yes, but in that size tank, some of those fish might get too large

Be a good start but... that is going to be a one boring tank. Everything is just going to hide, you need to get something that will swim in the middle of the tank. Some larger tetra like some big congos or something like that would be nice.

the pictus are usually pretty active, and still mkaes for a good list, maybe a ctenopoma or buffalohead could work to add some more "character"
