Would you put 4 8 inch silver aro with a 15 inch silver aro in a 240????

I have the opportunity to get a couple of silvers next to nothing and I already have a 15 in silver aro, can I put them together or will I have to get another tank????

P.s - You guys are always right.....the 7 Jar community I had to be split up real quick!!!!!! Their doing better now, growing really fast... I'll post some pics later!!!

Do you mean "will it work for now" ... or "will it work for the long run"?

It might work for a while, depending on the size and temperament of the individual fish, but 240 is definately not enough for life with those fish..

FWIW

i whoudnt;)

Generally aro comms should be at least 5 aros or more....

Preferable more than 5, IMO

I've never had an aro com... just singles... so I don't really know... with other fish I've always been told uneven numbers like 3 5 or 7... why at least 5? Is this to keep aggression down? You would need one hell of a tank to house 5 or more silvers....

LOL so one would think.....

but they should be okay for awhile,IMO,if you want to keep them in there for life it's entirely up to you and your opinion.I personally wouldn't do it but alot people will give you props for it once your aro's are bigger. If you decide to keep them all in there for life then do them a favor on the filtration.
