Why not? Is it illegal to think its a silver?!

Of course ignorance of the law is no excuse.

I would call the guy and keep calling it a silver arrowana but still offer the asking price!

asian aro's look more like jardini's. i'd play dumb and keep thinking it's a jardini, a really expensive one.
 
Well keep calling it a silver and go over and see it several times and get a feel for the situation. If it seems legit and you wanna risk it go for it!
