Severums "look" stern and serious and they act "graceful" and sometimes they are even said to be more peaceful than other cichlids.

JD's and Sal's for me, although FM's are great fish, never kept Sev's

Heros (sevs) are a stunning fish, but could really care less if your there or not. not a lot of outward personality (although, you get a few glass bangers every now and then)

If you want personality, go for JD.

Sals and firemouths, not had alot of experience with.

Sals and FM's both can be veeery shy fish, and with sals being stocking predators, they tend to hide a lot, and only some can be broken of this habit of stocking prey.

JD are the most personable for sure.
