3 sevs, 3 orscars in an 800 litre tank.
Got a Lima shovelnose as well.

Shovel is around 12" and the cichlids are around the 6-8" mark.

Any suggestions that are slightly "unusual"

^ agree. the catfish alone is enough for that aquarium...

Oscars are big also with time. But agree the cat is the main large fish. Keep It at the stock you have or get rid of some while small and change it up.

Lima dont tend to get "that" big usually.
I rescued him from a small tank and had damaged barbels etc and he has settled in perfectly.

I will clear out 1 REALLY ugly Oscar and keep the other 2 reds, Probably clear 1 of the Sevs as well as he is being a pain in the ass to the other fish all the time...

Yeah but 18" aint huge when comparing it to other shovelnoses.
Will see how big this guy gets as like I said he was stunted in a smaller tank before I got him and he aint grown at all, apart from healing completely.

The only thing that expands is his belly when he eats lol

Swims around with a golden sev all the time for some reason. Nice active cat fish.
