Sorry no photos, couldnt get a good shot.
The tank is a oceanic 75gallon and is at least 10 yrs old.
the silicone seal seems good. but there is an area where the very edge of the seal is no longer sticking to the glass but the majority of the sealant still is very well adhered to the glass. when it was last used a year ago it had no leaks.

If the silicone is peeling in a section, I would opt to reseal the exterior seal but should be good to go for a long time after that. I think the older Oceanics are fairly highly quality

Kind of depends, to me anyway if its being kept indoors or in a garage

Im have seen tanks were the there is excess silicone peeling but if the main exterior seal is peeling, that would worry me.

Whats weird is its not really peeling, just 1/2 mm of the edge of the sealant is loose.
Is this how the peeling usually starts?

here is the best photo I have.
The brown is the wood floor under the tank.
Thank you so much for your advice! Wailua Boy Wailua Boy

millerkid519 millerkid519 I wish I could do that, but I rent an apartment thats on the sexond floor in a 100 yr old victorian. If this leaked at all while fully setup Id be screwed.

What Silicone is recommended? I lnow GE used to be a go to but all they sell now is the kind with mildew killer in it.
