Say you have a pure breed breeding pair of fish in your hands. And they are tank bred by J rapps , Rusty wessel, your neighbor or whoever the hell you want to trust.

Those fish are now extinct. Been eaten away by man or taken into tanks for their wild caught status.

iin this scenario:
with the pair of fish, you stand at the water of their home and a big safe body of water for them

Would you toss them back in the water like man take them out of the water?

PS. U can't take them home or anything. Just a choice of toss them in or not.

dam it no voting poll :wall:

No cause they'd just most likely get killed and I would've wasted a pair of fish.

It would be nice to replace that once extinct specie, but agree with op it probably would not survive.

No it is only to see how you guys think. For fun. I dont have anything special except a polleni pair closest to that.

The toss is for them to revive

Orr not; to keep them extinct.

Simply 2 choices dont nuke it.. Toss them in or not. There was suppose to be a poll.

The chances are minuscule that you would get a breeding population back to health by tossing in a pair. I wouldn't toss them back. Too high of a risk (predation, starvation, pathogens in water, water quality etc..)

In my case I have Herichthys Minckleyi they are endangered and only come from one place IMO I keep them and I would breed them as there natural home is in the desert and will probably only dry up I just had a spawn and have free swimmers today http://www.cichlidae.com/article.php?id=73
