wound not healing, what does everyone think

My rainbow has had this wound for a few months now. It appears to be slowly getting worse but he is in no apparent distress

Celebrist do you have a spare aquarium, I would treat with antibiotics.

Getting him out of the 450 will be a nightmare but I have a 90 that is coming open for use soon

wow 450 gallon makes it hard to treat for sure. If the sore is getting worse I would treat it for bacterial infection. I think your best bet would be medicated food but unfortunately you would have to treat everyone

If you can get him out we can consider topicals and dips as well vs treating a qt tank

could always try salt first if safe for your tank.

I did salt but backed off lately. I will try doing it again slightly higher, I did one cup per hundred gallons before
I see no "fuzz", but the patch has doubled in three months so I am concerned
