wound on bichir head

Hi my poly is in his 10g growout tank but has scraped his head trying to get behind the filter it looks like the scales have come off and there is a bit of red in the middle of the wound the rest is a bit white.

What would be the best course of treatment ?

clean water ?

melafix ?

or clean water and salt ?

What type of salt is best ?

clean water, aquarium salt and melifix are all needed.

Ok cheers bud what's the best ratio for salt ? And is it aquarium salt ? I have a bottle of melafix knocking around and will pick up the salt after work

usually salt they go by percentage. but im unsure of the percentage myself

Im guessing you will will get the api aquarium salt states on the side run out other wise i would post. salt melafix and waterchanges. I also use stress coat as my chlorine treatment which also replenishes slime coat
