Wounded Chocolate

I have a 7" Chocolate Cichlid and I think he was on the hunt last night for a Rosy Barb that he has been quietly stalking. When I turned on the lights this morning this is how he looked. I added salt and going to pick up some new melafix as mine is all cloudy (it is a few years old)

Are you referring to the white patch? Looks like a graze mark. Just do daily water changes and dose Melafix until it heals completely.

Yes it's a deep graze mark. Sometimes I think he is such a klutz I think he should have been born an Oscar! He is trying to hunt and eat a particular barb in my tank and I think he goes Psyco from time to time when he gets close to catching it.

I forgot to add to please remove all decorations with sharp edges. Stick to smooth rocks, plants and woods without sharp edges.
