hannibal is amazing i would kill for this fish i would pay 1,500 if the opportunity arose for me to own this beutiful fish i am truly in love with hannibal i watched this video like 50 times today, the song is even cool.

does anyone have any idea on growth rates for rhoms? mine grew about an inch since the 5 months ive had him. i would like to know if it would be possible for me to get my rhom like hannibal. and for the record .. I LOVE HANNIBAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how big is your rhom now?

rhoms that are purchased small for the home aquarium usually top out around the 12" mark and it takes a long time for them to reach that size. you can read up on their slow growth rate at opefe.com, frank did a pretty good write up on it.

$1500 for a large peru black? your out of your mind.

i've seen a commerical seller sell 16"ers barely for $800 (took months).

and any private party Peru black between 14-16" ussally cost well under $500.

how big is this hannibal exactly?

my rhom is 6 inches, hannibal is 16 i dont know i just love big rhoms

canso on pfury and youtube has one thats over 17 in. the price of large rhoms has dropped considerable. i have seen a few in the 14-15 in size going for under $300. i am personally waiting for a big one to come around.

why would people pay that much for a fish? i mean that big doesnt it mean its THAT OLD?

yea but with proper care they can live for years still. not may exsit in captivity over 16 inches. very rare fish. very impressive too. they are pure power. they are built like tanks. when they are that big too they usually are very outgoing. so paying a lot of an exclusive beautiful fish isnt really that hard to imagine. i mean lots of fish are very expensive.
