It's been slow, fish keeping lol...
My 36g salt has sorted itself out. Have a bit of an aptasia problem, but nothing I can't handle. Corals are looking good etc etc.

My freshwater though is a mess.
There's this brown growth on every side of glass and it's uncontrollable. Idk what it is but I lose interest in my tanks if they don't look nice I need inspiration and a solution to my problem! I cleaned my filter out a few weeks ago completely, so could that have shocked the system? :/

When something goes wrong, you should be the most interested so that you can solve the problems.

It sounds like you're having problems with diatoms. Underfiltration, overstocking, and overfeeding are two of the leading causes. What size tank do you have? With what is it stocked? What kind of filtration are you running? size

It's a 125g, has an fx5 and it's reasonably stocked. I haven't added any fish in months.
