I am changing my tanks around, I am going to have a 55 gal with a Hujeta Gar 9", rhino pleco 10" and.....??????

I can get a saber tusk barracuda about 6" , anyone had any experience with this guys ? or have any other (non-cichlid) suggestions bichar or poly mabey?
I'm really not sure any help is appriciated.

thanks. :)

just because they have big teeth doesn't mean they're ferocious or fun to keep.

the payara (sabre tusk 'barracuda') would outgrow your 55g anyway.

consider a channa gachua or a couple acestrorhynchus barracudas

although honestly I think you'd be overpacking your 55g if you got too much else...

around every 6-8 monthes if something gets to big or too aggressive, or i get the itch to get another tank

i had to add a 55 and 29 in the last 6 monthes couldn't resist.

go for it i say!! you'll just have a good excuse to get a 150gal tank!!!!!!!

Based on what you say about new tanks frequently, I'd say skip the 55 and just go for a biiig tank - ~200gal. Then maybe fill in with a few 50-75 gal single specimen type things :)

Be a man, get the SabreTooth Barracuda and brag to all your friends.. I have 3 left, willing to get rid of them super cheap.. :) :)

I'm starting to run out of room. I have a good spot inbetween my kitchen and livingroom and I grabbed a brand new "hagen in a box" at a smokin deal, Right now I have a 8-9" Hujeta Gar in it. I'm moveing the tank and adding a couple fish. I have a spot for a 7'x2' in the basement, but I have to wait before I can commit the time and $$.
Renovating when you have tanks is a pain in the ass! I want to add fish slowly so i can see how everything works out I only want 3 fish in the tank a topwater, mid-top, and bottem. I can get that saber tusk for about $45 I already have a rhino Pelco but i dont need to move him if something else pops up.

hi bro, any pictures of the sabar task barracuda? the name sounds awesome, wonder how it looks like. hehe

DO you think the silver hujeta do better in groups? Ive notice my seven seem to show some interesting schooling behavior. IF you are really upgrading get a endlocheri bichir, thats a cool on if you can find it. Got great patterns and my two are pretty active during the day. Pictus are always fun. Mabye you would like an african pike (hepsetus odoe) they are like silver hujeta gars on crack with bigger teeth. Fun stuff
