somwhere
This was on the news in my area, I didnt see it but my mom told me about it. Its been 110+ degrees in my area so pge had a problem so they had to shut the power off. They said it would be off for 48hrs max. This is every fish keepers nightmare. PGE stated they would have the power on within 48hrs, so you cant file a suit unless they had the power out for more then 48hrs. The guy lost 1000+ dollars worth of tropical fish and he cant do anything to pge because they had the power back on in 47 hrs. So naturally he was pissed off.

Thought I would share

i would f:swear: ing flip out!!!! I dont quite have that much invest in just fish (yet:headbang2 ) but to loose the guys i have been raising since babies would piss me off. How did the fish die? Temp drop? Low oxygen?

They probably fried. He said it has been 110+ there.

Then why not try some water changes with cooler water. Wouldn't that have helped?

That sucks. When I was thinking of moving to northern cali last year I was told a generator was a must have cause that happens all the time.
here in upstate ny my power was only out for more than 6 hours once in the last 12 years, since I got alot of fish I have access to a generator just in case

p.g.e. would be a p.o.w. if that happened to me

I dont really know the details on how the fish died, dont think the news would go in to extensive details. I would be flippin pissed if it were me
