ight...im feeding my rays like 10 min ago. some shrimp and baby earth worms. and all of a sudden my male motoro is eating a worm and it comes out of his air holes behind his eyes. freaking crzy
...idk i think my little guy was just so hungery i was out all day and didnt feed in snacks threw out the day when i got home n threw in the food they both went crazy. like a fat kid he was so eager to eat he didnt chew his food and tride to swallow the dam thing and it tride to come out and did for like to second and the ray spazed out and some how pulled it out spat it out and chew'd the worm back up. wish i was recording while it happend
That happens all of the time; it's ok Sometimes the ray might react to it a bit stongly and incur some minor injuries from trying to dislodge it, but I see that as rather unlikely.
Sometimes when a stingray tries to eat an earthworm (especially with young rays that are unaccustomed to them) it comes out of its spiracle. This is entirely normal, and shouldn't be anything to worry about. Freaked me out, too, the first time I saw our rays do it.
