Well I've managed to get fry from my gachua sp turquoise, and I'm chuffed because this is my first breeding of any snakehead. This is the 3rd time the male's held. I knew he was holding but hadn't seen him for about a week and when I flicked the lights on today noticed his throat was back to normal. "Bummer, swallowed again" I thought. I fed him but he seemed shy and didn't want to leave the driftwood cave he was in. After I'd tempted him out to feed he went straight back and and that's when I noticed what looked like little tadpoles swimming about near the entrance :D I can't see how many there is, but I'm not too bothered about numbers to be honest. The fry are about 2mm long and are free swimming so he probably spat them out a couple of days ago? Fingers crossed.

Brucki, I might be able to see the water 'boil' after all :naughty:

AWESOME, pics asap :)

Thanks everyone! Chronick I'll take some pic's, but you'll have to wait until I get my photo app fixed coz it crashed a while back and can't upload. :irked:

south coast nelly, and anyone who's managed to breed their channa... would you say the hardest part is over, or are the fry still vulnerable? This is my first time like I said so any info or tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

try photobucket...

I've got a photobucket account but the photo app in my p/c is dead. Need to download the app software (which I don't have) again.
