Wrong food for Oscar?

I just got a baby Oscar at around 3", ruling over his 120g tank.. I've fed him mainly regular all around pellets and som shrimps here and there, but when he eats he turns from black and yellow to like.. greenish gray. Is this normal?

Yes. Color changes while eating or due to certain foods is normal And can be extremely awesome when they mature!!

Thanks!" Im sure he will ^^ it has really thin stripes.. I dunno if the spread out when he grows but I hope they stay this way.. is that how you distinguish a tiger Oscar?
