Wrong Media

I just ordered an Ehiem Classic 2213 canister with fine media for the 2217 by accident ... Is this not going to work? Could I cut the media to make it fit? Help please.

if you mean the round pads, then yes, they can be cut to fit the smaller eheim

my advice for the future is to buy bags of standard aquarium filter floss; I use this instead of the fine-filter pads on my eheims, and it much cheaper than eheim pads and (in my opinion) more effective


edit: in fact, you may not even need to cut the 2217 pads to fit the 2213; you can just bunch them up a bit. you can do that with the fine pads . . . if you had done this with the coarse pads, you'd need to cut them
