Wrought iron aquarium stand weight capacity???

I just bought a wrought Iron aquarium stand for 55-75 gallon tanks for my 50 gallon, didn't look that closely and realized it says weight limit 490 lbs on the box. Now even though my tank is acrylic wouldn't it weigh more than that? I'm scared to put my tank on it now!

that's really weird. . . if i had bought that, i would bring it back. the water weight itself is going to be over 400lbs. with the tank, a bag of sand or gravel, and some decor, that's really pushing the limit. maybe call the customer service # if you can find one.

I'd be returning it. Just the water weight is going to be close to that. I wouldn't feel safe w/ the filled aquarium on there.
