I've got an empty 400g tank in which I'd like to try to grow out an RTC. I don't have the patience to buy a 3"er, so I want to start with one that's already about a foot. I can move him to an indoor pond if/when he outgrows the tank. Please let me know if you've got a large RTC to sell (either ship to NY or pick up in New York area). Thanks GBG

Madison fishkeeper has a rtc that is 17"

Thanks. Madison's post was to sell a 17" planicepts, not an RTC. Does he also have an RTC for sale?

no patience? n rtc would hit 12" in like 2 months lol. n the best part about doing that, is when it hits 4' you can say u grew it from the size of ur pinky

Where are you in NY.I have a 14"redtail/tsn cross if you are interested

Yes, I'm interested. I live in Westchester, but can pick up fish in NYC because I work in the City. Where are you and how much do you want for the fish?

Etrhnics, you are certainly right that the fish grows fast, but I's still prefer to start with a "teenager" rather than a "baby". It'll still take him a couple of years to grow to 4 feet, if ever.
