Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum. I have been out of the fish hobby for 5 months and got rid of all my fish and tanks due to having a baby, but now want to back in the hobby already. Is there anyone in SO CALI selling a 125 gallon + tank? Preferably 180 gallon and all tanks acrylic. Thanks

Also, I'm sure this has come up in previous threads, but has anyone used the "Gladiator" heavy duty metal shelves sold from home depot as a tank stand? I know these shelves can hold up to 2000 lbs, but want to know your experience if you used them. Thanks

Never used the "Gladiator" before but if its rated up to 2000lbs I wouldn't trust it with a fully filled 180g tank. Fully filled, 180g tanks usually weight around or just north of 2000lbs so you would be playing with fire, or in this case water, by using one. That's also just bare bottom; if you plan on adding rocks, gravel, drift wood, etc. there goes more weight on the shelf overall, so personally I would say just build your own.

I have a 180g with stand. It's glass with corner overflow. I also have a 240g with corner overflow glass with cinder block stand. Will include sump pump and plumbing. No media
